If Re-elected, I WILL:
Continue to support the outstanding education currently offered at Oakton.
Continue to prioritize the equity work already begun.
Continue to prioritize an equity assessment to inform the most equitable distribution of resources.
Advance awareness in the community of Oakton’s quality and programming.
Cultivate a broader understanding of ways Oakton credentials advance progress toward a career, a 4-year degree and lifelong learning.
A little personal info
Along with our sons, Max & Daniel, my husband Mark and I have lived in Evanston for more than 30 years.
I learned the value of community college education when, as a high school senior, I received dual credit through Wright Junior College and Chicago Public Schools.
I completed my B.A. in music at UIC and an M.A. and Ed.D. in Adult Education at National Louis University.
In our free time, Mark and I can often be found on our bikes somewhere on Sheridan Road or the Chicago lakefront.
